Cretas

Centuries ago, the Cretas race performed an "anima transfer" (the transfer of mind). The network of time portals was scattered throughout the galaxy. The Cretas (from the English “to create”) were very different from people, and the concept of relative linear time was alien to them.

The Cretas are an ancient alien race that dominated the galaxy millions of years ago and who possessed immense scientific and technological potential. They transformed time and space using colossal energies. Eventually they broke free from the chains of the material universe, and were never heard from again.
