The M60 "The Pig" is medium range, comparable to a conventional machine gun. Damage is lower than a machine gun, but has a higher rate of fire. The M60 has a high spread and recoil, but it can deal more damage to both units and enemies.
Alternative shooting: Aiming. Significantly reduces spread and recoil (nearly 0), but slows movement speed by 30%.
