Patch Notes 3rd February 2023

  • Construction interval of cubes reduced.
  • Attack range of the shovel increased from 200 to 300.
  • Resource drop platforms added: every 60 seconds in any mode except classic, a resource pack appears on one of two platforms (selected randomly), adding 250 resources to each team member who captures the resource pack. In classic mode - 500 resources.
  • Health segment increased to 200 points.

Kamenev

    • Cannon: main attack projectile's range and speed, ballistics overhauled, now the grenade launcher attacks in a straight trajectory at medium distance.
    • Speed up to 6000.
    • Explosion radius of the grenade launcher's grenade increased to 250.
    • Health increased to 1800.

Raiser:

    • Health increased to 2200.
    • Ability recharge increased from 5 to 8 seconds.

Arnie:

    • Rocket launcher: recharge decreased from 2.7 to 2 seconds.
    • Armor increased from 700 to 800.

Pirate:

    • Speed of projectiles increased from 4100 to 4400.
    • Projectile range and ballistics improved.
    • Alternative attack damage to characters and units increased to 1000.
    • Impulse from alternative attack increased.

BERR

    • Spread reduced on the minigun
    • Armor increased from 1700 to 1800.
    • Health increased from 1700 to 1800.
    • Armor increased from 1700 to 1800.
    • Minigun overheating time increased.

DaEpsilon:

    • Health reduced from 900 to 600.
    • Railgun: Main attack is now non-automatic, cannot be charged, deals 200 damage, spread reduced.
    • Alternate attack now requires more charge for maximum damage (0.9s), but activated by right-clicking.
    • Ammo increased to 10, main attack uses 1 ammo, alternate attack uses all 10.Base damage of alternate attack increased from 325 to 350.

DaTau:

    • Carbine: Spread reduced in main attack.
    • Reload time for ability reduced from 16 to 12 seconds.
    • Damage to characters increased from 70 to 75.
    • Damage to units increased from 95 to 100.


Antonio "The Space Toad" Romero

    • Missile flight speed increased.
    • Lifetime of the missile increased from 0.6 to 1 second.
    • Missiles now bounce off cubes with minimum momentum preservation.
    • Rate of fire of the grenade launcher increased.
    • Explosion radius of missiles increased to 400.
    • Recharge time of ability increased to 18 seconds.
    • Health increased from 900 to 1000.
    • Armor reduced from 700 to 600.


Antonio "The Iron Toad" Mechi

    • The spread of the shotgun has been increased.
    • Fire rate has been reduced from 90 to 85.
    • Recharge time has been decreased from 30 to 20s.
    • Health has increased to 600.
    • Armor has been reduced to 600.

Anthony "The Steam Toad" Frogg

    • Health decreased from 700 to 600.

Engineers:

    • The cost of the turret has increased from 250 to 300
    • The attack angle has been reduced from 90 to 75
    • The turret attack speed has been slowed from 50 to 45
    • The damage of the turret has been reduced from 90 to 80
    • The turret turns and aims at the enemy slower
    • The cost of the shield has increased from 250 to 300


Lil BERR

    • The right-click hook recharge has been reduced.
    • The damage of the main attack has been increased from 28 to 29.

Snipers

    • The power of the gravity-concentrator has been increased to 65% and the effective radius to 300.
    • The mini-turret no longer deals damage upon destruction.

Medics

    • Tesla Concentrator
    • Increased speed of Tesla shot projectiles
    • Reduced Tesla charging time by 1 second
    • Increased the radius of Tesla shot impact to 300
    • Increased the connecting radius between Teslas to 1400.
    • Quantum Regenerator health has been increased from 400 to 800.


Sergeant “Sarge” Stone

    • Health has increased from 1800 to 2200.
    • The health of the bomb from the ability has been increased from 1400 to 2200.

Assault:

    • Boom Bomb
    • The damage to voxels increased from 7200 to 8000.
    • The cost of the bomb decreased from 400 to 250.
    • The health of the bomb increased from 2801 to 3401.
    • The damage to units increased from 6000 to 6500.

Lora

    • The health has been increased to 600.
    • The ability recharge time has been reduced from 7 to 6 seconds.

Kato

    • Health increased to 600.
    • Ability cooldown reduced from 14 to 12 seconds.

Saizu

    • Health increased to 400
    • Q Ability cooldown reduced from 5 to 4 seconds.

Saboteur

    • The radius of the EMP has increased from 700 to 800.
    • Gas trap:

The cost has increased from 50 to 100. Liz Tumbler

    • The duration of the stun from the shock pulse of the ball lightning has been increased from 3 to 4 seconds.
    • The radius of the pulse and explosion of the ball lightning has been increased to 600.

Shocker:

    • The time to disable units from an alternate attack has been increased from 6 to 7 seconds.
    • Health increased to 1000.

  • The Q ability: the duration of the healing aura has been increased from 10 to 11 seconds
  • The Q ability: the radius of the aura has been increased from 600 to 700
  • The spawn radius of the aura has been increased from 300 to 500
  • Health has been increased from 900 to 1000

Eliza Ray, Аgent X

  • Health Increased to 1000.

Ironclads

  • Mortars
    • The damage to units has been increased from 400 to 500.

DaGamma

  • The Q ability has been reworked: when activated, it increases DaGamma and her allies' fire rate by 20% within a 400 radius and also cancels reload time by 3 seconds.
    • Reload time of the ability is 15 seconds.
  • The weapon has been reworked: now the rifle shoots projectiles with limited lifespan. Upon hitting an obstacle, the projectiles explode in a small radius (300) and deal 350 damage.

UI

  • F1 prompts menu added
  • Alternate attack icons added
  • Missing icons added to kill feed
  • Effective and maximum range identification added
  • Enemies within the effective range of the weapon are highlighted in red, and within the maximum range are highlighted in yellow
  • The player can now stay on the death screen without switching to other player cameras.

New feature

Rookie Event

  • The Rookie event is available only for new players who start the game for the first time and will consist of 12 matches, with the goal to get all new players together in one match.
  • In the event that there are not enough players to start a Rookie match, then the first available NON rookie players can backfill should they wish to. *However, the rewards are given only to NEW players starting the game for the first time. If you are an existing player joining the Rookie Event, then this is your time to shine as a Blockhead and help new players to understand how to play.
  • The Battlepass has 12 steps for each match. Players get rewards only for finished matches whether they win or lose.
  • Rewards for the event:
    • Razer's unique weapon skin ("Boy Scout")
    • Profile tokens.
    • Profile badges.
    • “Ace of Spades” keychain.
    • Unique skin Razer “Boy Scout”
    • Boosters.

Balance

DaGamma

Weapon: Deimos SR
  • Max distance increased
  • Fire rate of both modes increased from 70 to 80
  • Direct hit damage increased to 450
  • AoE falloff increased
  • Mag size increased from 5 to 8
  • Unit & Voxel damage increased to 800
Ability
  • DaGamma gained the “Escape” ability which previously belonged to DaTau.
  • Jetpack
  • Now it has more fuel but cannot go higher than the starting point of flight. Simply keeps the same level

DaTau

Ability
  • DaTau gained the “Concentration” ability which previously belonged to DaGamma.
  • Radius of ability is increased from 400 to 800
  • The ability engages much faster and does not stop shooting any longer.

Jetpack

  • Can now take to high positions due to increased power impulse
Weapon: Phobos Carbine
  • Alt.attack: burst interval decreased from 0,5 to 0,2 seconds
  • Reload time increased from 1,56 to 1,71 seconds
  • Alt attack: burst is decreased from 6 to 3 rounds in a row
  • Main attack dispersion decreased
  • Fire rate of the main attack is increased from 480 to 520

Captain BERR

Ability: Boarding
  • Developer comment: we added the minimum push distance. Now, the hero always overcomes a certain distance after ability deployment. Additionally, at the place where the character lands, an explosion occurs with the radius of 400, which deals 800 damage to heroes, 1500 to units and 4000 to voxels around. At the same time, the hero slows down by 25% for 2 seconds.
  • Ability charge time to the max impulse increased from 1 to 1.1 seconds

  • Resource cap is decreased from 800 to 400
Weapon: Carronade
  • Alt attack charging time decreased to 0.55 seconds

  • Developer comment: we changed the ability. Now, instead of providing an aura on allies, Chemie creates a toxic cloud which does not allow an enemy to be healed. The cloud has a radius of 500 and deals 60 damage 3 times per second (multiplied by 5 seconds which is the duration of cloud)
  • Cooldown increased from 18 to 22 seconds
Weapon: Toxic Injector
  • Main attack damage increased from 90 to 210
  • Damage boost effect on poisoned enemies is removed
  • The AoE of projectile increased from 60 to 200
Stats
  • Basic regen is increased
  • Delay before regen is decreased

Elizа Ray, agent X

Ability: Energiser
  • Cooldown decreased from 12 to 11 seconds

Liz Tumbler

Ability: Ball lightning
  • Cooldown decreased from 21 to 20 seconds
Weapon: Fibrillator
  • Now the alt attack creates an electric sphere at the point of impact with a radius of 400. It turns off the units, deals 400 damage to them and slows down the enemies by 30%
  • Mag size decreased from 90 to 9
  • Main attack requires 3 rounds (1 per shot but 3 for burst) and alt attack requires ammunition 3

Professor Eliza Brown

Weapon: Molecular Gun
  • Alt attack charging time decreased from 0,6 to 0,4 seconds
  • Lifetime of acid mines from alt attack increased to 15 seconds
  • Radius of explosion of alt attack is increased from 185 to 350
  • Mag size increased 8 to 20
  • Reload time increased from 1 to 2 seconds
Ability: Nutritious muck
  • Cooldown decreased from 11 to 10 seconds

Lil BERR

  • The ability healing increased to 75 HP per 0,5 seconds

Game modes

Domination

  • Victory points are increased from 120 to 130
  • Team which owns at least two objectives now earns 1 point per 2 seconds (previously - 3 seconds)

Control

  • Point capture time decreased from 6 to 3 seconds
  • Victory points are increased from 124 to 130
  • Respawn time increased from 13 to 14 seconds
  • Losing team respawn time decreased from 7 to 6 seconds
  • Team which owns objective now earns 1 point per 2 seconds (previously - 3 seconds)

Siege

  • The catch time of the first point increased to 15 seconds
  • The catch time of the second point increased to 21 seconds

General changes

Events

We have added a new event type - “Regular Event”. It starts for all players on the 1st of each month, and is themed around one random character. Complete event missions and unlock steps to receive rewards!
  • First event step grants you access to hero for the event duration
  • Last step unlocks that particular hero forever
  • Already owned items are compensated with in game currency
  • Event score progress now shown in victory screen for each event

Shop

  • New shop tab, where you can preview/buy packs containing cosmetics/boosters
  • Lots of new cosmetic content added/updated (both for shop and regular events)
  • Hero customization screen

New UI

  • F1 help info available on right click
  • New item previews
  • Charm preview/equipment
  • “Custom games” screen

New UI

  • New descriptions for game modes and maps
  • Ability for host to change various game mode settings

Voice chat

  • Added team voice chat for custom and matchmaker games

  • New in game UI to see who is talking/muted

Combat improvements

  • Improvements/reworks to AoE visuals (more clarity, scaling with actual explosion radius). Still in progress for some effects.
  • New UI/VFX for recently changed abilities/weapons
  • Killcam camera does not jitter and positioned slightly further away
  • New crosshair visuals that indicate hero-specific values (jetpack/weapon charge, toad shield health)
  • New crosshair indicator for Lil Berr now shows if his hook will reach selected position
  • Various small fixes/improvements to weapon logic/visuals
  • Heal station/Bronerator reworked, both now can heal multiple targets simultaneously, Bronerator charge system reworked

Game modes improvements

  • Resource drops now only spawn after build phase is over
  • Flags in Activation game mode now emit large pillar of light
  • New game feed notifications for Activation

General UI improvements

  • Update UI for hero selection in game (H button)
  • New resource drop indication UI
  • F1 menu texts/icons updated
